carniverous plants?

i like these,but there are only a few specialist nursry’s(interstate)where i live(australia)&hobby’ists go to alot of trouble setting up green house/humid ect.conditions,i want to collect these,without going to such extremes…Who out there keeps these?What kind?How big&how long have you been doing this?Any pics,i can see?(I’ve only managed the comon’venus flytrap’,did get him(fang)eating/reproducing well.But the crows go after the insects&in turn destroy my little guys!
Very slow process?Are there any native species,where ever you are from.Thanx guys,imput is valued.

They go to such extremes setting up vivariums to replicate the plants native habitats. If your not willing to do this, you’ll be met with slowly dying plants.
However, if you can get ahold of Purple Pitcher plants from the U.S.A. they can be forgiving of less than optimum conditions.
