Shopping – a hobby or a disease

This article is all about my 71 year old mother Annie. She is by far the most generous person you may need to perform on his life, along with the clothes anyway, this is his story ….

This hobby shop started 20 years ago when I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to visit Texas (my father is an avid country and western fan.) She took with her every conceivable piece of clothing that may imagine even been used to fill the suitcase with his clothes parents, because if she wanted, and had the space, could not have found a snake in the suitcase race if tried, was full to bursting! So, all I had gotten around about 40 kg of clothing and shoes for three weeks vacation.

Arriving at his hotel in Houston, my father suggested to go for a stroll through the shops, and as this was the first time one of them had been in America had no no idea what to expect … .. very soon found out and my hobby mothers born!

They had a fabulous holiday, my mother shopping every shear fear the days when it offered at prices so reasonable, and my father visiting all outlets of country music. There was a big decision to make the time to clean up their cases for their return journey, with baggage is limited to only 30 kg each, which was in a dilemma to say the least. The only commitment was to leave half of your clothes and shoes behind at the hotel, of course it was the clothes she bought with her all the way from England, and instead to pack his new clothes American and shoes he had bought so much pleasure. Of course, she was totally devastated at having to leave all your clothes in Texas, after all they had for decades, so it was difficult to escape. I often wonder what the hotel thought of this, perhaps it was something that was often the one who knows.

Back safe in Britain and in the comfort of your own home, she became dissatisfied with his ease in the bedroom closet, surprise, surprise! Like all children were now grown and flown the nest, which was a great opportunity for my father to play two bedrooms in a large room, giving more space for him the construction of large wardrobes for mummy dearest to fill, and fill it did.

She strutted around town with their tail feathers completely extended for all to see. She was so proud of her new fashion clothing he had much pleasure in buying on his trip to Texas. Annie delighted in all the praise that was beautiful by young and old, had suddenly become interested in Annie. She had not had an easy life, she had five children by the time she reached the age 25, was no easy task to say the least. His confidence and self esteem was always in the background because their children had to come first and second, Annie, who was only his way. Perhaps he had been deprived all these years of being herself actually forgot that it was Annie, who just happened to herself as wife and mother without rights of their own, maybe that's why he won so much confidence in itself overnight, had suddenly become an expert in a field that really did not know nothing, but he liked the person she had become because of her love of clothes, his newfound hobby.

Before embarking on your holiday Texas Annie had no job, just did not have time to spend titivating itself, not its words of mine. For me and my brothers this newly discovered mummy ours was a little worried, she was getting dressed each day at its refinery, including the use of makeup …. friends a rarity in those days, and the meeting for the lunch, so you can say that became a lady to wear in a very short space of time, but she looked good, really good, and she knew it, and she made sure everybody else knew that she looked good.

Needless to say, the main theme of the ladies in these lunch talks Annie's clothes were! In the days that he ate with his new friends was scrubbing all the peoples of the area of small boutiques that could supply it with the only clothes she had been accustomed to purchase. Of course none of them was close to zero, it just was not the comparison with its boutiques in Texas, and she was pleased in telling the shop owners too. On the rare occasions that these stores would be dragged, kicking and screaming I might add, to be introduced to owners, followed by a series of gentle abuse by Annie advise the owner how he had no idea that the man on the moon in the purchase of technical and should take some lessons from the Americans! Oh Lord, please leave a gaping hole of nothing and let me go, never been so lucky. Of course, your generosity was impeccable, always came out of their dens sports fans some new piece of clothing grossly overvalued, these generous gifts given so much pleasure, almost as much pleasure as if she was buying for herself. It does not stop the blame, however, I would love to participate in their hobby, suffice to say that my bank balance would not survive a day of shopping with her, much less every day.

She overcame her wardrobe over time, the purchase of clothing did not stop until she EVERYDAY continued to buy. When is this ever going to stop what we thought. My father never to questions about their hobby so happy that finally makes has got the time, money and inspiration to go out every day and a shop just for her, and that's exactly what he did, I think, every day.

She has fully taken over the third bedroom in his house from wall to wall closet, so it was only a matter of time I suppose. These cabinets are filled with clothing, unused still with price tags still intact. One of the main things that I forgot to mention is Annie never buy anything that she would call that cheap, its motto is that you get what you pay for. All we know is right, but none of us can afford to go out to these small boutiques that frequent every day and pay £ 100 for a shirt, we can not justify it, the end of the day we had a very good teacher, I think they forget that now. By that, I suppose if I had a hobby particular that I liked, but I have much pleasure out of what he does, and taking into account their age, I suppose I could justify spending obscene amounts of money spent each day, because after all, is his only hobby, and that makes her so happy, my dad is not complaining because he knows that she comes home every day with a story to tell and a lot of luxury shopping bags … …. If she is happy, happy, it makes for an easy life. Bless his heart … This article is written for me beautiful mother that I love with all my heart.
