what to look for in the alien and ginter 09 baseball packs?
i just ordered a box of 8 packs not here yet but what to look for besides the auto and patches. and what would be of value. the only card packs i have ever opened were from the early 90′s
In addition to the autos and patch cards, don’t forget the rip cards in every box! They are fun to open, collect, and sell. It can be a real crapshoot of whether it is a valuable card inside or not, but there is one in every box. There are also the ink print cards, which are interesting looking.
In addition, some of the wackier cards in the set include General Custer, Vincent van Gough, Brigham Young, and Old Faithful. Since there are so many cards in the Allen and Ginter set, every one has some decent value, but the best ones are really valuable open ripped cards, or unopened ones are good too, but you are taking a chance selling those.
A subset that will be interesting is Worlds Biggest Hoaxes. It will include Charles Ponzi and Bernie Madoff.
Among the autos will be Olympians Michael Phelps and Apollo Anton Ohno.
