Help on starting a Baseball cards collection?
Hey guys I need a little help on starting a baseball collection. I am thinking of collecting Topps since I read that they have the most value. Which pack should i start out with? Should i get the 2008 Topps series 2?(It costs 20 dollars at walmart and its a green box with a picture of Pujols). And also what if i get that pack what cards should i expect (rookies)? Also should i get a 2007 rookie pack 52 style cards so if a rookie from that year turns into a hall of famer and I could have his rookie card? Please help, tips on collecting is appreciated. Thanks.
P.S. What are the chances for me getting a game used card on 2008 packets of only like 8 cards and 3 dollars?
Oh and the reason i want to buy the 2008 series 2 pack is because it says it guarantees to come with game used card.
you are on the right track with Topps as a company but go for the Bowman Chrome series. they are more valuable and have better autograph cards and game used cards. the rookie cards hold better value.
